Early in 2005 I made a month long trip to the Ross Sea region of Antarctica courtesy of Quark Expeditions. I shot a great deal of video footage on this trip, focusing on the sea, icebergs, distant mountains, etc.. I subsequently decomposed this footage with custom software into a grid of independently playing image sequences, producing a work that lends the landscape an additional sense of spatio-temporal possibility.
